This is a senior IT Project Manager role . The position is responsible for leading enterprise-wide, high-priority IT projects that involve business process reengineering, system enhancements, or new development efforts. These projects are strategic, complex, and typically span 8-12 months delivery cycles.

This is a senior IT Project Manager role . The position is responsible for leading enterprise-wide, high-priority IT projects that involve business process reengineering, system enhancements, or new development efforts. These projects are strategic, complex, and typically span 8-12 months delivery cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Governance
- Direct and manage full project lifecycle: planning, design, programming, testing, implementation.
- Develop and obtain approval for Project Management Plans, Communication Plans, and Deliverables Matrix.
- Ensure compliance with DC PMO methodology, standards, and procedures.
- Planning & Estimation
- Create detailed project estimates across planning, analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
- Revise estimates with team leads and secure client approval.
- Design project plans with scope, resources, budget, and personnel defined.
- Execution & Monitoring
- Track progress against schedule and budget; take corrective action when needed.
- Monitor milestones, phases, and deliverables.
- Capture and report project metrics; distribute improvement reports.
- Manage RAID+ Log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
- Stakeholder Management
- Serve as primary point of contact for project-related issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and customer representatives.
- Deliver presentations and status reports to senior leadership.
- Team Management
- Coordinate multiple work efforts across diverse IT areas (Applications, Data Warehouse, Networking, Security, etc.).
- Balance workload with team capacity.
- Mentor junior project staff.
- Plan and conduct training/orientation sessions.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Weekly updates via Daptiv.
- Timesheet reporting in PeopleFluent/VectorVMS by COB Friday.
- Personal status reporting via SharePoint.
- Maintain project documentation in SharePoint and Teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 7-9 years managing large-scale technical initiatives with complex IT environments and vendor involvement.
- Certification: PMI PMP (minimum 5 years).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong business and technical acumen; experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS).
- Soft Skills: Leadership, negotiation, communication, problem-solving, team building, organizational skills.
- Work Location: Must be able to work onsite in Harrisburg, PA two days per week.
- Independence: Ability to ramp up quickly and perform with minimal supervision
