Position: Workday IT Project Manager (Job Id 91629-1)

Location: Long Beach CA (REMOTE)

Duration: 12 Months + Strong Possibility of Extension

• Project Management & Delivery
• Own end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and delivery of the Workday full-suite implementation over a 24-month period.
• Manage project , timeline, scope, dependencies, budget, and quality across multiple workstreams (HR, Payroll, Finance, SCM and Integrations).
• Drive milestone tracking, resources management, and readiness for each deployment phase (Design, Build, Test, Deploy, Hypercare)
• Support development and execution of project cutover plans and rollout strategies.
• Risk & Governance
• Track and manage Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decisions (RAID) across all workstreams.
• Perform risk assessments, define mitigation strategies, and maintain RAID logs
• Prepare governance materials (status reports, decision logs) for steering committee and executive approvals.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Serve as the primary PMO contact between Program Director, internal stakeholders, the System Implementation (SI) Partner, and Workday.
• Partner closely with functional leads, IT, Finance, HR, and external vendors to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Manage governance routines, including Steering Committee updates, status reporting, and change control processes.
• Coordinate schedules, facilitate meetings, and ensure timely deliverable sign-offs.
• Team Leadership and Communication
• Coordinate and support functional project managers, analysts, and technical leads across multiple domains.
• Drive collaboration and clear communication between technical and business teams.
• Support change management and training activities to ensure stakeholder readiness and adoption.
• Quality Management
• Ensure adherence to project governance, methodology, and compliance standards (SOX, HIPAA, or ithers as applicable).
• Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain deliver confidence.
• Partner with the Program Director and SI PMO to track KPIs and ensure outcomes align with business objectives.
• Facilitate UAT and manage Workday Delivery Assurance scheduling and execution.
