Job Title: Business Analyst (Data Analytics expertise mandatory)
Client: Public Sector Client
Location: Sacramento, California (Remote Local candidates preferred)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Data) to support a critical project for the Public sector client. The role will primarily be remote, but candidates local to Sacramento, CA will be given strong preference.
Minimum Qualifications (MSQs):
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with business stakeholders to elicit, define, and document data requirements for reporting, analytics and operational workflows.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in documenting current-state processes, performing impact analysis, and proposing improvements based on data insights.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience querying and analyzing datasets using SQL, Excel, Python or BI tools to validate requirements, identify trends and support decision making.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in identifying, investigating and helping resolve data quality issues through testing, profiling, and cross-team communication.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with querying cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift and interpreting data models such as Star or Snowflake schemas.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, writing user stories, participating in sprint planning and managing backlogs, and creating user documentation and training materials.
