Overview:

Are you a skilled Database Administrator with a passion for maintaining the integrity and security of critical data systems? Join our high-performing agile team and contribute to a nationally significant cryptographic key management program.

In this role, you'll ensure the availability, performance, and security of multiple databases. You'll work in a fast-paced environment using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, DEVOPS best practices, and cutting-edge technologies.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with Polygraph

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of replication issues

  • Monitor database performance and memory usage using standard tools

  • Apply system updates and perform IAVA patching

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues

  • Perform database recovery actions

  • Modify and create database scripts to support recurring issues

  • Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc data requests

  • Support legacy data transition/ingestion

  • Translate requirements into usable database schemas and queries

  • Recommend and implement best practices for GOTS/COTS databases

  • Assist with the development of database structures and integration into overall architecture

  • Support development of database parser and loading software

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator

  • Minimum 3 years of Oracle Database Administration experience

  • Experience with database security implementation and maintenance

  • Experience with performance tuning and monitoring

  • Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving database issues

  • Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software

  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and other procedural languages

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

  • 10+ years of high-level database experience

  • Experience with real-time, high-availability replication technologies:

    • Oracle Data Guard

    • Oracle Streams

    • Oracle GoldenGate

    • Sybase Replication Server

  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodology and Agile team practices

  • Strong background in database design and development

  • In-depth experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL/PLSQL and general SQL usage
