Job Details

Title: QA Manager/Coach
Location: California (100% Remote)
Type: Contract

We're looking for an experienced QA Practice Manager and Coach to lead the evolution of quality assurance strategies, champion high standards, and support a thriving team culture. This role is central to refining testing processes, ensuring regulatory alignment, and developing team capabilities through active coaching, mentoring, and collaborative learning.

As a proactive leader, you ll assess current QA frameworks, introduce streamlined practices, and guide the team in adopting agile, DevOps-aligned approaches to testing and delivery.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and enhance QA processes using data-driven insights to eliminate inefficiencies and strengthen delivery outcomes.
  • Maintain rigorous alignment with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Lead professional development efforts through training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing forums.
  • Define and monitor key metrics to inform continuous improvement and drive process transparency.
  • Manage team performance through structured feedback, coaching conversations, and developmental planning.
  • Support contractor hiring efforts by managing interview coordination, assessments, and role clarity discussions with stakeholders.

  • Testing Approaches: BDD, TDD, functional and non-functional testing
  • Tools: Selenium, Katalon, Postman
  • Automation & CI: Bash scripting, Docker, Git, CircleCI, Argo Workflows
  • Test & Work Management: Jira, Xray, Git
