Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage two existing teams (IAM and Epic Security team)
  • Build application-level provisioning capabilities
  • Lead projects including:
    • Topical implementation
    • Imprivata EPCS rollout
    • New IGA (Identity Governance and Administration) solution implementation

Candidate Profile Requirements:

  • Strong IAM background
  • Understanding of Epic security
  • Ability to lead complex technology projects
  • Experience with automation and emerging technologies
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Preferably with director-level or senior management experience

Job Summary

As the System Director IAM & Epic Security, you will be responsible for managing the solutions specific to areas of responsibility including full life cycle management-from strategic planning, deployment, and maintenance to the launch of solutions and platforms. You will also identify opportunities to reduce manual efforts, contribute to organizational growth, promote patient and user experience, and create innovative solutions with operations. This role fosters strong working relationships with key stakeholders and vendors to align technology solutions with system goals, promotes consistent use of available tools, techniques, workflows, and platforms, and oversees budgeting and assigned management/administrative tasks.

To be successful in this role, you are expected to stay current on the latest solutions and technologies and advocate for the adoption of industry best practices.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Drives end-to-end activities for the assigned solutions portfolio and leads teams for high-performance outcomes.

Provides direction for solution implementation including planning, technical setup, building, testing, training, deployment, optimization, and support.

Establishes relationships with domain leaders to understand strategic business needs and user requirements; identifies business requirements to guide specifications for ease of business operations.

Leads or participates in governance committees to collaborate with key stakeholders on priorities and workload.

Develops strong partnerships with fellow leaders to identify synergies and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborates with vendors to ensure systems and solutions meet or exceed our needs.

Mentors direct reports through oversight of activities such as capital and operating budgets, policy and procedure development and maintenance, talent management and acquisition, stakeholder engagement, governance activities, and other assigned duties.

Remains updated on the latest technologies and promotes implementation of relevant technologies. Participates in industry-related organizations such as HIMSS, CHIME, Epic UGM/XGM, VMware World, as appropriate.

Collaborates and actively participates across functional components led by other leaders, ensuring seamless, effective, and efficient overlaps and touchpoints that achieve measurable outcomes.

Supports business operations while improving access and provisioning processes and tools.

Manages, coaches, and develops the IT Security Provisioning team.

Contributes to the annual Security Plan, creates project plans and timelines, and ensures project deadlines are met, including motivating participants to stay on schedule.

Recommends viable solutions to improve systems and processes.

Makes recommendations for policy changes related to Information Security as business needs evolve and applications are enhanced.
