RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Duarte, CA that is seeking a Systems Analyst III (EPIC HIM).
Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Systems Analyst with specialized experience in EPIC's Health Information Management (HIM) modules to join our healthcare IT team. This role is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing efficient technology solutions that align with organizational needs, particularly around electronic health record (EHR) optimization. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, and EPIC HIM functionality to improve data accuracy, streamline coding and release processes, and support Health Information Management operations. The Systems Analyst will act as a bridge between clinical users and technical teams, working to continuously enhance system functionality and ensure data integrity across platforms.
Responsibilities & Required Skills:
* Analyze and resolve complex system issues related to health information management processes
* Conduct system studies and develop project plans to maximize return on technology investments
* Design and configure system enhancements within EPIC HIM modules based on evolving business requirements
* Translate user requirements into functional and technical specifications
* Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to optimize workflows and system usage
* Maintain expertise in industry regulations and ensure HIM processes meet HIPAA and compliance standards
* Provide support during system upgrades, testing, and go-live activities
* Develop and maintain documentation for system design, workflows, and user procedures
* Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for EPIC HIM applications including Deficiency Tracking and Release of Information
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-10+ years of overall healthcare IT or systems analysis experience
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with EPIC HIM
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
