Job Title: Salesforce Release Manager

Onsite 5 days a week Must

Job Summary:
The Salesforce Release Manager will oversee and manage the end-to-end release process for Salesforce environments, including version control, branch management, and deployment coordination across multiple orgs. This role ensures smooth, error-free releases by managing code merges, resolving conflicts, and enforcing governance standards for the Salesforce platform.

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage Salesforce release cycles coordinate deployments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Oversee branching and merging strategies in version control (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.), ensuring clean merges and resolving conflicts before deployment.
  • Manage and resolve errors arising from branch merges, metadata conflicts, or deployment issues.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce Developers, Admins, and QA teams to ensure proper sequencing of builds and environment readiness.
  • Automate deployment processes using Salesforce DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Validate and troubleshoot metadata deployments (Apex classes, triggers, LWC, workflows, process builders, etc.) between orgs.
  • Maintain and communicate release calendars, build logs, and version histories for all Salesforce environments.
  • Ensure all releases follow change management and compliance policies, including approval workflows and rollback plans.
  • Perform impact analysis for upcoming releases to minimize disruptions to production environments.
  • Monitor post-deployment validation to confirm successful release execution and production stability.
  • Provide technical support for release-related issues, including sandbox refreshes, data migrations, and environment synchronization.
  • Implement best practices for Salesforce DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline management, environment naming standards, and version tagging.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and project managers to align release schedules with project timelines and priorities.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong experience with Salesforce configuration, deployment, and version control.
  • Proficiency in Git-based branching and merging workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, or other Salesforce DevOps tools.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce metadata structure and dependency management.
  • Experience in resolving merge conflicts, build errors, and deployment failures.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills between technical and functional teams.
