Description

SAIC is seeking a Digital Forensics Engineer in Chantilly, VA. In this role the successful candidate will perform Cyber Systems Architecture, Cyber Technology Research & Development, Cyber Data Administration, Cyber Knowledge Management, Cyber Network Services, Cyber Systems Administration, Cyber Systems Analysis, and Cybersecurity Defense Infrastructure Support activities from the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Framework. This work can primarily be categorized as Infrastructure Security, in that employees in this role are concerned with the maintenance, administration, engineering, architecture, development, patching, and upgrades of the various toolsets, devices, applications, and systems used to perform cybersecurity and cyberspace operations. In accordance with enterprise IT change and configuration management policies, implements changes to cybersecurity and/or cyberspace operational systems, software, appliances, devices, etc.

The successful candidate will:
  • Implement system configuration and monitoring changes to increase effectiveness or efficiencies in the systems capabilities regarding monitoring and implementing logical access controls to enforce policy.
  • May support cybersecurity and/or cyberspace operations metrics development, maintenance, and reporting.
  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug cybersecurity and/or cyberspace operations application software using secure coding practices.
  • Provide specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements, facility requirements, data storage, monitoring, operating systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Establish operational objectives and work plans, operating policies and procedures that affect departments and work units.
  • Interpret policies and procedures.
  • Interact with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications.
  • Lead briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.

Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph.
  • Relevant degrees and experience (Bachelor's and 4 years or more experience).
  • Active certifications and experience with one or more of the following forensic tools: Axiom, Cellebrite, EnCase, Forensics Toolkit (FTK), or Paladin.
