Location: Orlando, FL
Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Test Engineering Mechanical Center of Excellence. This role involves detailed mechanical design and drafting of test stations, design modifications, and general CAD modeling. The engineer will also design vibration fixtures for units under test and fixtures for thermal testing.

Position: Design Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL
Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Test Engineering Mechanical Center of Excellence. This role involves detailed mechanical design and drafting of test stations, design modifications, and general CAD modeling. The engineer will also design vibration fixtures for units under test and fixtures for thermal testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed mechanical designs and CAD models for test stations and related components.
- Design vibration and thermal test fixtures.
- Implement geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) in designs.
- Prepare and deliver design review presentations.
- Collaborate with documentation teams for product design and test engineering packaging requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3D Modeling Expertise: Minimum 5 years of experience with Creo.
- Mechanical/Electromechanical Design: At least 5 years of hands-on experience.
- Windchill Experience: Minimum 1 year.
- Ability to create 3D mechanical models, CCAs, harnesses, and cables.
- Strong understanding of precision machining and optical physics.
- Familiarity with GD&T principles.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Zuken.
- Knowledge of optical physics and precision machining.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
