QC Inspector

Pay Rate: $33/hr on W2

Terms of Employment:
W2 Contract, 6 months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
This position is onsite in a workshop environment.
The office is located in Stafford, TX.

Overview:
Our client is seeking a QC Inspector to join their team to address an increase in workload. This role involves ensuring manufactured components meet engineering specifications through visual and dimensional inspections. The ideal candidate will be results-driven and possess a keen eye for detail. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a background in quality control to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Review vendor documentation, including Material Test Reports, to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured components using standard inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, hard gauges, profilometers, optical comparators, and micro-hites.
Identify and document non-conformances for disposition by the technical authority.
Raise change requests to Engineering when identifying design for manufacturability concerns.
Liaise with functional groups on all Quality Control-related activities and problems.
Interface with Customer/Third Party/certifying authority representatives as required.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of related experience.
Knowledge of dimensional testing and manufacturing.
Proficiency in reading drawings and understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Competence in using a dial caliper and micrometer for measuring parts.
Understanding of the machinist handbook (ASME, ASTM, ISO17025).
Experience with inspection.
Good communication skills.
Results-driven with a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
CMM experience.
SAP experience.
Any GD&T experience is a plus.
