RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Analyst/Business Analyst in Maryland Heights, MO.

Position Summary:
We're seeking a highly inquisitive and resilient Business/Data Analyst to join our newly restructured Field Operations team. This individual will play a critical role in helping leadership uncover operational inefficiencies, identify workforce optimization opportunities, and influence key decisions with data-backed insights.

This is not a traditional analyst role. We need someone who can cut through ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and independently investigate large, complex data sets. You'll dig into data daily, explore system usage patterns, map out workflows, and surface actionable intelligence that drives measurable improvement across technical field operations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze workforce utilization data to uncover inefficiencies and identify gaps in productivity
* Build dashboards, reports, and data narratives that highlight real-time and historical performance
* Understand and document process flows, data mappings, and platform behaviors across cloud-based systems
* Assess and classify tech activities into productive vs. non-productive time (e.g., job duration, idle time, travel, fueling, etc.)
* Investigate capacity loss trends-why we're losing tech time, where downtime is occurring, and what's driving it
* Collaborate with Product Managers, Program Managers, and Tech Leadership to influence workforce optimization
* Challenge tribal knowledge and bad habits by presenting objective, data-driven insights
* Proactively surface anomalies and recommend strategic shifts: This doesn't make sense-let's look at it differently
* Participate in long-term team right-sizing efforts by assessing current capabilities against program expectations

REQUIREMENTS:
* 4-7 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or hybrid role in tech-driven environments
* Experience with workforce efficiency or operations analytics strongly preferred
* Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
* Previous experience working within a phased team structure (BA, QA, Tech teams) is a plus
* Familiarity with workforce or field service analytics is highly desirable
* Strong understanding of process documentation, system workflows, and data mapping
* Strong SQL skills; Ability to query large datasets, explore tables, and derive insights independently
* Excellent communication skills-able to present findings clearly and confidently to senior leadership
* Naturally curious and proactive-someone who wants to figure out what the data is really telling us
* Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and cutting through noise to get to the signal
* You're thick-skinned and unfazed by pushback or challenging personalities
* You thrive in fast-paced, evolving organizations and have a track record of driving change through data

Tools & Technologies:
* SQL (Advanced proficiency)
* AWS Cloud (or equivalent cloud platform experience)
* BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
* Cloud-based workforce management systems (preferred)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
