Title: SAP Payroll Technical Consultant
Location: Burbank, CA (Hybrid as needed)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Payroll Technical Consultant to join our team to support and enhance the SAP Payroll system. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in SAP HCM/Payroll modules with a focus on US Payroll, experience with Payroll Schemas and Rules, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, develop, and configure SAP Payroll solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Work on payroll schemas, personnel calculation rules, and payroll functions.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to understand the requirements and create technical specifications.
  • Perform root cause analysis for production issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Support payroll-related integrations with third-party systems.
  • Provide technical support for payroll year-end activities including configuration updates.
  • Participate in unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Create detailed technical documentation for configurations, customizations, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and SOX regulations.

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on technical experience in SAP HCM Payroll (US Payroll focus).
  • Expertise in Payroll Schema and PCR (Personnel Calculation Rules) development and maintenance.
  • Experience with SAP ABAP HR programming (including reports, enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs).
  • Solid understanding of Integration with FI (Finance) and Time Management modules.
  • Experience with Payroll interfaces and middleware tools (e.g., SAP PI/PO or CPI preferred).
  • Knowledge of payroll processes such as taxation, garnishments, and benefits.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Payroll related issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps for HR/Payroll.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA environment.
  • Agile methodology experience.
