Job Description
You will be the A/AI Systems Engineer for the Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control Team and in this role, you will play a pivotal part in the research and development of cutting-edge technologies that drive the advancement of semi and fully autonomous systems for both defense and commercial applications..
What You Will Be Doing
As the A/AI Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:
Research and Development: Drive the exploration and development of technologies aimed at enabling and advancing semi and fully autonomous systems. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in autonomous technologies and integrate them into our projects.
Algorithm and Systems Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in algorithms and systems, focusing on enhancing autonomous and robotic systems. Develop innovative algorithms and techniques to improve system performance and capabilities.
Applied Research Contracts: Act as an associate primary investigator on applied research contracts with government labs. Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to execute research projects effectively and achieve project objectives.
Algorithm Implementation: Develop algorithm implementation requirements to ensure seamless integration into autonomous systems. Work closely with software engineering teams to translate algorithmic concepts into functional software solutions.
System Modeling: Develop system models to effectively communicate advanced research concepts to customers, stakeholders, and developers. Utilize modeling techniques to demonstrate the potential impact and benefits of our research efforts.

Basic Qualifications
Ability to obtain a secret clearance is required.
Previous experience in the A/AI and robotics domain
Knowledge of software and system architecture patterns
Knowledge of application areas (computer vision, natural language processing, signal processing, robots, multi-agent systems, manned-unmanned teaming, etc.)
Demonstrated history of building prototypes in rapid prototyping environment
Experience working and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary research team setting
Experience working on projects for government labs including ONR, AFRL, DARPA, etc.
Experience using modeling languages including UML/SysML and integrated modeling tools like Enterprise Architect.
Experience with robotics (including ROS)
Desired skills

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
