Job Title: PACS Administrator

Job Description:
Pay Range: $65hr - $70hr
- The PACS Administrator is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing PACS and cardiology imaging systems.
- This role manages server updates, imaging workflows, system integrations, user training, troubleshooting, and cross-functional coordination to ensure reliable and efficient imaging operations.
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of server administration experience in VMware management.
- Familiarity with DICOM, PACS systems, and PACS VNA archives.
- Experience managing servers, desktops, and providing end-user support, or clinical imaging experience in radiology or cardiology.
- Working knowledge of networking.
- Strong distributed systems platform knowledge.
- Familiarity with ITIL concepts.
- Epic infrastructure knowledge is a plus.
- Server administration.
- PACS and imaging system support.
- End-user support and troubleshooting.
- Clinical imaging workflows preferred.
- Configure and deploy server updates, security patches, tools, and drivers transitioned from service design or architecture.
- Provide daily operational support for PACS and cardiology imaging modalities.
- Monitor and administer PACS software and technologies, including upgrades and deployments.
- Provide training and support for end users on PACS functionality.
- Serve as liaison between cardiology IT and radiology VNA support.
- Facilitate Powershare requests and onboarding of new users.
- Monitor unread exams and participate in study reconciliation and verification.
- Monitor system links and interfaces, including HL7 and DICOM.
- Perform cross-collaboration technical support, troubleshooting, and project-related monitoring.
- Manage DICOM configuration, including AE titles, ports, and modality worklists.
- Extract data and create reports to support cardiology operations.
- Create and deploy scripts, tools, and server builds for IT infrastructure.
- Provide problem analysis, recovery, and reporting.
- Provide technical consultation on projects and escalate to vendors when required.
- Support provisioning of new equipment, including ordering, tracking, and installation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Understanding of healthcare business processes related to PACS and clinical imaging.
- Server scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of DICOM standards, HL7 messaging, networking, and web technologies.
- Installation and maintenance of PACS software and hardware.
- Knowledge of Epic or EMR system integrations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Familiarity with project management fundamentals.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Visio.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Understanding of TCP/IP network protocols.
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
- Relevant technical certifications or PACS-related training preferred.
