Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with deep expertise in Child Welfare IT systems specifically SACWIS or CCWIS for a major statewide modernization project with the state of Texas . The selected candidate will play a key role in planning and executing the transition to a new case management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of statewide SACWIS/CCWIS transition efforts.

  • Facilitate collaboration between DFPS, judicial partners, federal stakeholders, and community-based organizations.

  • Prepare high-quality deliverables and documentation including project plans, risk logs, resource plans, and federal APD reports.

  • Conduct project research and data analysis to meet both state and federal reporting requirements.

  • Drive business process re-engineering and organizational change management initiatives.

  • Support contract development and financial planning for modernization efforts.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in SACWIS or CCWIS implementation for state-level child welfare agencies.

  • Strong knowledge of Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and PMBOK.

  • Familiarity with Advance Planning Documents (APD) and federal child welfare regulations.

  • Experience leading large-scale, public sector IT projects, ideally in child welfare case management systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite: MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint.

  • Ability to manage competing stakeholder interests and reach consensus across executive and delivery teams.

  • Experience with Agile, SAFe, or Waterfall delivery models.

Work Location:

  • Remote Work is permitted within Texas ONLY.

  • Non-local candidates must be willing to relocate to Austin, TX as required.
