Job Description: A Tandem Developer with expertise in TAL (Transaction Application Language) and C++ is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing applications on HP NonStop (Tandem) systems, often in the financial or payment processing domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications on the HP NonStop (Tandem) platform.
- Write and optimize code using TAL, TACL, C/C++, and COBOL.
- Work with SQL databases and integrate with external systems.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and security of applications.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and system integration testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and business analysts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Tandem/HP NonStop systems.
- Proficiency in TAL, TACL, C/C++, and COBOL.
- Familiarity with Guardian/OSS, Pathway, and Enscribe/SQL.
- Experience in payment systems, banking, or financial services is a plus.
- Good understanding of network protocols, security, and transaction processing.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
