job summary:

SUMMARY OF DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:


The position reports to the Senior Manager of the PPNR Model Development team within the Treasury and Financial Modelling group. This role will analyze, manipulate, and synthesize data from various sources and transform it into meaningful and insightful information for loan balance forecasting for stress testing purposes, in compliance with internal standards, policies, and procedures.



  • Support the acquisition and ingestion of data, and manage data documentation in compliance with enterprise data standards, policies, and guidelines across platforms and systems to support model development
  • Acquire and maintain expert knowledge of data through profiling, quality reporting, and metadata production
  • Communicate complex, large-scale, and high-impact technical designs to non-technical business stakeholders
  • Elicit, analyze, and understand business and data requirements to develop complete business solutions, including data models (e.g., ER diagrams, dimensional models), ETL and business rules, data life-cycle management, governance, lineage, and metadata
  • Develop and maintain complex data models using industry-standard modeling tools
  • Build and maintain complex ETL jobs and frameworks using standard tools
  • Provide development and testing support to resolve data issues, including escalation on complex problems
  • Support business stakeholders in interpreting and analyzing data
  • Build automated tools and extraction pipelines for both development and production use
  • Collaborate effectively with various business partners, including data providers, platform teams, IT, Treasury, Finance, and Model Validation and Management teams, to ensure sound model development, implementation, and execution

responsibilities:

MUST HAVE:



  • Strong quantitative background with a graduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in advanced data analytics or predictive modeling
  • Solid knowledge and experience in financial services or banking (e.g., commercial and retail lending), stress testing (CCAR, DFAST), and model governance
  • Hands-on proficiency in SAS, Python, SQL, and Excel VBA
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix operating systems and on Microsoft Azure analytics platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, VBA, Word, PowerPoint)
