Job Title: Business Analyst Banking & Payments Domain
Location: Troy, Michigan (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with extensive experience in the banking domain, particularly in payment systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and technology teams to gather requirements and support the delivery of high-quality financial solutions. This is a contract role based onsite in Troy, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to banking and payment solutions
  • Work directly with stakeholders to understand current systems and define enhancements or new solutions
  • Translate complex business needs into clear and actionable user stories, use cases, and process flows
  • Lead requirement workshops, gap analysis, and system impact assessments
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and UAT teams to ensure proper implementation of business requirements
  • Support the testing team during functional and user acceptance testing phases
  • Help in the implementation and post-go-live support of payment modules
  • Ensure all solutions comply with industry regulations, risk standards, and data privacy guidelines

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Banking domain
  • Strong understanding of Payment systems (ACH, SWIFT, Wire Transfers, RTP, FedNow, ISO20022, etc.)
  • Experience working with Core Banking Systems or Digital Banking Platforms
  • Excellent documentation skills: BRD, FRD, User Stories, and Process Flows
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, and Excel
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in Agile and Waterfall project environments

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of payment compliance and regulations (e.g., OFAC, KYC, AML)
  • Familiarity with API-based payment integrations
  • Experience with data mapping and transformation for payment transactions
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field
