As a Systems Engineer for the Sentinel program you will directly help establish the technical solution and overall system design for one of our country's most vital and sophisticated strategic systems!
In this role you typically will:
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems definitions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system trades and analysis, flow down the architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planning
Use the latest in MBSE tools and processes to generate synergistic models to establish linkages across verification artifacts and requirements
Use your excellent communication skills to work across the Lockheed Martin organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of solutions
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals, lifecycle, and work products
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Active DoD Secret clearance or above
Desired skills
Systems engineering experience or relevant systems engineering training through a university or certificate program
Experience with one or more Systems Engineering functions
a.) Subsystem design or analysis
b.) CONOPS development
c.) System modeling or analysis
d.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
e.) System trade studies
f.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification
g.) Milestone Design reviews
Missile or space segment knowledge
Design or test experience with one or more
Familiarity or proficiency with the following engineering tools: Model Center, Cameo (NoMagic) aligned with UAF using Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM ) 3.0 modeling standard and UML/SysML, DOORS
Ability to work in a fast-paced, synergetic team environment
Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
