Job Details

Location & Work Arrangement

  • City, State: Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite 3 days per week, 2 days remote). Local candidates only are considered.
  • Contract: This is a Contract position.
  • Mode of Interview: Initial interview via Webcam (Teams); Final interview In person only.

Key Duties and Technical Environment

The Senior Data Quality Analyst will focus on data governance, validation, and reporting to drive the quality of the state's public health data.

1. Data Validation and Remediation

  • Analysis & Assessment: Analyze and assess data quality across multiple systems and data sources.
  • SQL Development: Develop and execute data validation and cleansing routines using SQL/T-SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify, document, and resolve data quality issues and anomalies.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Participate in root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to prevent recurring data issues.

2. Data Governance and Standards

  • Data Standards: Collaborate with data owners and stewards to define data quality rules and standards.
  • Metadata & Lineage: Support data governance efforts by contributing to metadata management and data lineage documentation.
  • IIS Standards: Required Knowledge of IIS data exchange standards (VXU, ACK, QBP).
  • Frameworks: Experience with data quality frameworks and record-matching techniques (essential for public health data).

3. Reporting and Communication

  • Dashboards: Create and maintain data quality dashboards and reports.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop reports and performance metrics to track provider compliance and system accuracy.
  • Leadership Reporting: Prepare reports for leadership that effectively communicate data trends, patterns, and predictions.
  • Tools: Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is required.

4. Technical Environment

  • Cloud Focus: Experience working in cloud-based analytics environments (e.g., ACE, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Domain Exposure: Exposure to public health data systems or clinical data exchange.
