Need Mainframe Admin with installation, upgrade and maintenance experience
Below is the JD for this position:
- Excellent understanding of System z architecture, Support and Lead maintenance activities and perform Z/OS upgrades.
- Strong experience with IBM z/OS operating system and subsystem Components
- Experience on Z/OS connect and configuration
- Work with operations team to monitor, maintain and IPL systems to improve consistency and availability
- z/OS performance monitoring and reporting
- Strong experience of installing and supporting widely used ISV products from different vendors which includes IBM, CA, BMC, Compuware and ASG.
- Experience in building Mainframe LPAR and OS Upgrades
- Knowledge of Catalog management, IBM system utilities
- Installation of patches and fixes
- Installation and maintenance of IBM and ISV products such as OPS/MVS, CA-1, CA-7, RACF, CA Sysview, Endevor, CA Netmater, Strobe, FileAid, Abendaid, Xpediter,, BMC Suit
- System parameters/parmlib maintenance
- Knowledge on HCD
- Capable of planning and supporting Disaster recovery exercises
- Performance tuning & Development of operational procedures
