Job Details

Location: Onsite, Rockford IL

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm CST

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our proprietary freight marketplace, while protecting the Landstar brand and increasing revenue. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date information on available truckload freight opportunities, ensuring that our platform reflects relevant and timely data for our customers and agents. You will collaborate with Landstar Agents within your assigned region to identify and secure the most effective and efficient capacity to cover critical truckload shipments. Your people skills will be the foundation for your success in this position, helping you build lasting relationships and effectively navigate challenges.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain effective working relationships with Landstar Agents, fostering cooperation and resolution
  • Assist Landstar Agents in securing capacity for critical truckload shipments, providing training to Agents on external load board offerings and services
  • Complete documentation and provide guidance on developing effective load posting practices
  • Effectively manage high volume email communications to offer timely support and resolution
  • Facilitate commercial owner operator drivers (BCO) random drug test notifications based on FMCSA guidelines, ensuring DOT compliance
  • Foster strong relationship with third-party load board vendors through opening and closing accounts, account maintenance, and troubleshooting basic integration issues
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, required; or general education degree (GED)
  • One-year of customer support experience
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
  • 6 months of transportation experience
  • 6 months of FMCSA guidelines experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, strong technical abilities with email and internet
  • Ability to remain composed in escalated situations.
  • Professional team collaboration, accepting and delivering constructive feedback
  • Achieve S.M.A.R.T. goals set forth by management for performance and quality control purposes
  • Basic geographical knowledge of North America.
  • Effective communication skills in all modes, ability to retain and relay important information
  • Strong organizational and time management ability including researching, documenting, renegotiating, and decision-making skills
  • Capacity for research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
  • Flexibility to work Saturday and holiday rotations periodically
