Title: Software Test Engineer (Do-178C)
Location: Gastonia, NC
Length of Contract: 9 months+ extension
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start Date: 5/19/2025
Drug/Background check BOTH Required
Project/Application: Oxford s client is working on commercial aircrafts, developing the actuators (2) for their cargo door, and includes 2 motor controllers and 12 boards. They are done with designs and have built their first prototype.Brief Position Overview: Lead oversight of verification progress of software development conducted by offshore team. Also expected to support lead SW Engineer by performing tasks as needed to integrate and test new software deliveries and author document deliverables. This role does not require strong coding skills but will require knowledge of standard C code to support reviews and troubleshooting of software. DO-178C experience is essential.
Responsibilities:
Bachelor's or Master s degree in related field
At least 5-10+ years experience in software development & test
Recent development experience against DO-178C
Needs to be able to debug a test set up
Motion/Motor Controls (Brushless DC Motors)
Experience with Safety Critical Applications
