Job Description
We are seeking a Business Analyst with QA Experience for a hybrid position based locally in Philadelphia. This role focuses on collecting and documenting requirements for new applications or enhancing existing ones. The position requires onsite presence for meetings and projects as necessary.
What You'll Do
- Schedule meetings to gather, analyze, and document business and software requirements from stakeholders
- Analyze business processes and translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories, use cases, functional specifications, and test cases
- Communicate requirements clearly to developers, testers, and stakeholders
- Create various diagrams such as process flows, state, activity, sequence, swim lanes, and wireframes
- Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams
- Conduct walkthroughs and user acceptance testing
- Develop training documents, train users, and provide support post-release
- Collaborate with developers and QA to ensure solutions align with business goals
- Test applications, both functional and regression testing, and convert requirements into test cases
What You'll Need
- Proficiency in SharePoint Online (Office 365), Microsoft Teams, GitLab or other Git repositories, JIRA
- Experience with Balsamiq or other design tools, Visio
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with subject matter experts and communicate succinctly with software developers, business analysts, and testers
- Experience working on teams of varying sizes on complex projects and demanding timelines
- Ability to work independently on projects from start to finish
- Demonstrated experience in creating training documents and training users
- Ability to maintain professional composure while communicating clearly with stakeholders
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
