Azure Project Manager / Program Manager

Must-Have Technical Skills:

• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Azure Pipelines (capable)
• Azure Synapse
• Databricks
• Power BI (capable)

Technical Responsibilities (40%):

• Apply strong hands-on knowledge of Azure services, including:

o Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)

o Azure Synapse Analytics

o Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions)

o Databricks and Power BI

• Drive technical conversations and decisions with architects and data teams.
• Provide expert-level guidance in data pipeline development and cloud integration.
• Participate in troubleshooting and solutioning for technical roadblocks.
• Support estimation, design reviews, and implementation planning.

Functional & Project Management Responsibilities (60%):

• Act as the primary liaison between customer stakeholders and offshore/onshore delivery teams.
• Translate customer needs into actionable plans and technical tasks.
• Manage coordination with Product Owners, BAs, and Scrum Masters.
• Deliver regular updates and status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
• Oversee daily activities across multiple teams and ensure milestone delivery.
• Collaborate directly with customer executive teams to identify and address pain points.
• Support program-level oversight across multiple parallel projects.
• Work closely with the Data Architect on customer side to drive data strategy alignment.

Qualifications:

• 10 15 years of experience in IT project delivery with a strong focus on Azure data projects.
• Proven success in managing hybrid teams (onsite-offshore).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex technical projects.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred:

• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-305, DP-203, AZ-900).
