Network Engineer

Vaco is recruiting for a Network Engineer opportunity with a local client to design, implement, and supporting new and existing networks. Candidates should have significant experience with various network types and equipment to be able to perform responsibilities efficiently and effectively.

This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity and hybrid on-site in Frisco, TX.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience as a Network Engineer designing, implementing, and supporting various networks


• 5+ years of experience installing, administering, and configuring LAN/WAN,VLAN, WLAN, and VPNs


• 5+ years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment (Proxy servers, WAN accelerators, DNS, DHCP, etc.)


• Experience with VoIP phone systems


• Experienced with routing protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.)


• 5+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting routers/switches


• Familiarity with cloud technologies


• 5+ years of experience with Network Security (patching, updates, hardening)


• Experience with firewall configuration and management (Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki)


• Experience implementing disaster recovery procedures and data backups


• Experience with compliance tools and platforms


• Experience with POS systems
