RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking a 5G Wireless Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* Designs, deploys, and optimizes wireless networks to ensure performance at or above operational thresholds
* The 5G Wireless Engineer will continuously monitor network KPIs using both in-house built dashboards and OEM developed network management systems, drive test collected data and subscriber experience information to identify performance improvements and implement solutions and network changes to improve coverage, latency, throughput and overall customer experience
* Routinely audits network configuration parameters to identify optimization opportunities deviations from predefined golden parameters
* Works with the cross-functional engineering and operations team to troubleshoot network problems
* The 5G Wireless Engineer reviews data to assist with determining issues root cause and resolution steps
* Addresses customer and employee service experience issues
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications Engineering or related
* 7+ years of experience in RF engineering-related occupation with MSOs, Telco, satellite operators or major wireless vendor in the U.S.
* 4+ years of technical lead experience
* Prior experience working with Nokia and Airspan radio access network infrastructure highly desired
* Must have expert knowledge of 5G NR, LTE and UMTS technologies and thorough understanding standards, protocols, and network architecture
* Proven ability to identify and resolve complex network issues
* Proficient in use of 5G NR testing and performance monitoring tools and methodologies
* Proven ability to design, deploy and optimize cellular wireless networks
* Proficient knowledge of other wireless access technologies and supporting protocols highly desired. Including but not limited to: Wi-Fi 802:11a/b/g/N/A.c, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, TCP/IP, UDP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPN, ACL's, LDAP
* Must be a highly motivated self-starter with acute attention to details
* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
* Ability to manage and deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
* Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
* Ability to communicate effectively orally and electronically
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
