Job Title: Google Cloud Network Engineer (Remote Contract)

Job Type: Contract
Location: Remote (U.S. based candidates preferred)
Duration: Long-term Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) networking. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VPC design, hybrid connectivity, and network security for cloud and on-premise integration.

This role involves reviewing, designing, and advising on network architecture, NAT, PSC, PSA configurations, and connectivity for Google-managed services to ensure secure, scalable, and optimized network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and review VPC architectures and hybrid connectivity solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

  • Provide expert guidance on network services, including NAT, Private Service Connect (PSC), and Private Service Access (PSA) for connecting to Google-managed services.

  • Assess and optimize network security, monitoring, and performance configurations.

  • Collaborate with cloud architects, security teams, and operations engineers to implement network best practices.

  • Advise on network policies, routing, and traffic management to ensure reliability and compliance.

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) networking.

  • Proficiency in VPC design and implementation.

  • Deep understanding of hybrid connectivity between cloud and on-prem environments.

  • Expertise in NAT, PSC, PSA, and related Google Cloud network services.

  • Experience in network security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for Google Cloud Platform networking.

  • Knowledge of load balancing, firewall configurations, and VPN/Interconnect setup.

  • Google Cloud Platform certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Network Engineer) are a plus.

  • Work Location: 100% Remote.
