Job: Project Manager DURATION: 30 Months LOCATION: Albany, NY Hybrid


The Project Manager will guide the project team through the system development life cycle where necessary and be directly responsible for project planning, organizing, leading, controlling, security and implementation tasks. Create documents which included Business Requirement Document (BRD), Project Charters, Change Requests, Project Management Plans, Work Breakdown Structure, and Project Schedules, High-Level Low-Level Design Documents, Risk management plans, issue lists and Project Deployment Plans.


Qualifications

  • Project Manager- Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.
  • Expert- 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
  • 84 months experience directing design and development activities and assisting in the development and maintenance of a detailed work plan
  • 24 months experience managing technical projects dealing with server infrastructure, technology upgrades, or data center consolidation
  • 84 months experience in creating and managing a risk management plan.
  • 84 months experience in creating and managing a change management plan.
  • 84 months experience in creating and managing a communication plan.
  • 84 months experience in coordinating issue resolution.
  • 48 months experience working on projects related to social services (for example, Food Stamps, Medicaid, HEAP, TANF) or accounting.
  • 84 months experience leading requirements gathering sessions
  • Bachelor s Degree

Day-to-Day tasks

  • Work with customer to define, clarify and manage project scope.
  • Develop the project plan and schedule.
  • Develop and implement a formal risk mitigation plan actively performs risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Develop procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives.
  • Set team direction.
  • Coordinate activities across different organizational functions.
  • Independently conducts requirements gathering sessions.
  • Analyzes interdependencies among scope requirements.
  • Actively manage the integration of project processes including impact analysis resulting from changes in project scope, budget, or schedule.
  • Motivate team members.
  • Distribute work to team members and follow-up on project action items to ensure tasks and schedule is on target.
  • Define project baselines.
  • Track project progress and provide project status reports.
  • Continuously monitor project and take corrective actions, as necessary.
  • Interacts with high-level stakeholders including senior agency managers, provide monthly status reports.
  • Develops and implements project management processes and policies.
