Job Title: Barracuda WAF Engineer SME
Location: Richmond, VA | Mclean, VA | Plano, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months with possible of extension
Job Overview:
Develop and maintain tooling that supports deployment, monitoring and logging, and auditing of compute, supporting cloud infrastructure, and configurations of the Barracuda WAFs in AWS
Application tuning and troubleshooting of tooling, AWS and Barracuda WAF configurations.
Required Skill:
- Cloud computing experience with various AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, Route 53)
- Experience with tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
- Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS)
- Strong Python and Bash scripting skills to automate tasks, build tools, and manage WAF infrastructure
- Ability to implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK stack) to track application performance and identify issues
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in the cloud
- Familiarity with networking concepts and load balancing technologies.
- Proficiency in using version control systems like Git
- Understanding of OWASP top 10
- Understanding of web applications and API
- WAF certification a plus
