Job Title: Senior Technical Specialist (Network Engineering)
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 Months (Full-Time Contract)

About the Role:

We re seeking an experienced Senior Technical Specialist with deep expertise in enterprise network architecture, cloud networking, and modern infrastructure technologies. This is a fully remote, contract-based opportunity supporting a high-impact investment office IT team within a public sector environment.

You ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting secure network solutions across on-prem and cloud environments, while also providing Level III technical support and mentoring internal teams through knowledge sharing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure network architectures across hybrid environments.

  • Provide advanced support for enterprise cloud applications, including BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River, Bloomberg, and State Street Bank.

  • Lead network performance monitoring and automate alerting/failover systems.

  • Serve as a senior-level resource for complex incident resolution and root cause analysis.

  • Collaborate on the planning and integration of next-gen technologies: SDN, SD-WAN, NFV, and other modern infrastructure.

  • Maintain and optimize core systems:

    • Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, VPNs (including Site-to-Site)

    • Infoblox IPAM, Cisco ISE, Wireless, Gigamon, SolarWinds, SecureCRT, Cyclades

  • Produce clear, actionable documentation and conduct regular knowledge sharing with internal IT staff.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise network solutions.

  • Proven background with Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined Access (SDA), and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).

  • Strong command of network protocols and technologies, including:

    • TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS

    • Firewalls, Load Balancing, VPN, Routing/Switching

  • Relevant certifications (at least one required):

    • CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCDE, PCNSE, NSE9, JNCDA, JNCDS-DC
