JOB SUMMARY: The Systems Support Specialist team responsible for providing Tier 1/2 technical support across the organization. This position handles escalated incidents from Tier 1, performing advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues involving hardware, software, networking, and peripheral devices. The role includes rotational coverage of the support phone queue to assist with overflow, high-priority, or escalated calls, ensuring timely and effective support. The Specialist also collaborates with Tier 1 personnel to improve knowledge sharing and contributes to the overall improvement of IT support processes and service quality. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma; PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associates or Bachelor's degree; Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certifications; 2 years in troubleshooting PC's, printers, phone and infrastructure issues; ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 40% Provide troubleshooting and resolution for escalated support issues related to hardware, software, networking, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment (e.g., printers, scanners). When necessary, escalate unresolved or complex issues to Tier 3 or relevant engineering teams, documenting detailed troubleshooting steps and resolution attempts. 15% Monitor systems and ticket queues. Participate in post-incident reviews and implement findings to minimize recurrence of issues. 15% Manage hardware and software inventory through asset management tools, assisting with tracking, imaging, configuration, and deployment. Ensure systems are compliant with organizational standards and security guidelines. 20% Provide rotational coverage of the support phone queue, assisting Tier 1 by handling overflow and high-priority incoming calls when necessary, and ensuring timely escalation or resolution of complex incidents. 10% Ensure all configurations and incident resolutions align with IT policies, change control procedures, and security best practices. Support patch management, software deployments, and infrastructure changes as needed.

Other Duties as assigned and the following: Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision and manages efforts based on proper prioritization, documentation, closure, takes corrective actions and/or escalate incidents to reduce downtime. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 OS, Office O365, network printing, active directory services, SCCM, Entra and Intune. Solid understanding of networking, wireless and telecommunication fundamentals. Strong problem solving skills. Solid verbal and written communication skills and willingness to actively contribute in a team environment. Effective, customer service focused communication skills. High level of resourcefulness and responsiveness in an environment which requires maximum system performance, minimum down time, and high degree of customer satisfaction and confidence within a fast paced environment. Ability to travel to other locations as necessary

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
