Job Title: Messaging and Collaboration Systems Administrator
The Messaging and Collaboration Systems Administrator will provide day to day hands-on management and administration of Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration technologies, be accountable for the reliability and availability of these services, coordinate and manage projects, and provide 3rd level escalation support for related incidents.
Responsibilities:
Administer and support Microsoft 365, focused on messaging and collaboration systems - Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 collaboration.
Oversee the Microsoft Teams environment, ensuring optimal performance, user satisfaction, and platform integrity.
Manage and maintain internal and external collaboration and communication solutions using Microsoft Exchange, Teams and Microsoft 365. Configuring and managing distribution lists, teams, channels, chat, apps, calling, meetings, and events.
Administer and support Microsoft Exchange on-prem versions 2019 and Microsoft Exchange Online.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and deliver Microsoft cloud solutions on Microsoft 365 platforms.
Provide subject matter expertise of Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration technologies with an emphasis on Security.
Service Health monitoring - actively respond based on system alerts and notification.
Evaluate needs and deliver solutions using Microsoft 365 Messaging and Collaboration technologies.
Architecture and engineering of Microsoft 365 Messaging and Collaboration technologies, providing deep technical knowledge.
Assist in developing and implementing support strategies for the various Microsoft 365 applications
Effectively translate technical specifications, errors, and business logic through written and verbal communications to both technical and non-technical customers
Provide Level 1 & 2 baseline assistance and training of Microsoft 365
Requirements:
Preferably 5+ years overall experience working in Microsoft 365
Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 Platform - Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and other Microsoft 365 collaboration.
Expert knowledge of all areas of Microsoft Teams - Teams and Channels, Chat and Messaging, Video Conferencing and Meetings, Voice, File Sharing and Collaboration and Integrations with other Tools and Apps.
Experience with PowerShell for managing on-premises and Microsoft 365 environment.
Familiar with application monitoring tools, reviewing log files, and be available on occasion for off hours emergency support for critical applications.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 licensing, features, and policy.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory services including forest and domain design, policies, topology, replication, and trusts.
Possesses a broad knowledge base of Microsoft 365 technical architecture and the inter dependencies with other enterprise services in Microsoft 365/Azure technology stack.
Experience in developing technical solutions using Microsoft 365 Suite products.
Experience with implementation/configuration of Office 365 messaging and collaboration tools.
Experience with on-premises Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and Hybrid deployments.
Implementation of advanced functions of Office 365 Security and Compliance center, Microsoft Federation Integration with Office 365, Azure and Identity Management.
