Process Optimization:
- Assess and refine current manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, lower costs, and enhance sustainability.
- Drive initiatives for better production scheduling and worker performance evaluation systems.
Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement:
- Advocate for Lean initiatives, focusing on minimizing waste and fostering continuous improvement.
- Apply 6S guidelines to ensure high standards of order and cleanliness in production areas.
Quality Assurance:
- Lead efforts towards ISO9001 certification, developing robust quality management systems.
- Conduct root cause analyses on production issues to inform process improvements.
Factory Layout & Efficiency:
- Optimize factory layout for improved workflow, space utilization, and integration with automation.
- Use time and motion studies to refine operations for maximum efficiency.
- Integrate additive manufacturing platforms into the layout for enhanced efficiency.
Automation Collaboration:
- Work in tandem with Automation Engineers to identify, implement, and optimize automation within manufacturing processes.
- Ensure automation projects complement process optimization goals.
Workstation Design & Specification:
- Design workstations that are ergonomic, efficient, and ready for automation integration.
- Consider sustainability in workstation design, focusing on materials and energy use.
Sustainability Initiatives:
- Incorporate sustainable practices into manufacturing, leveraging materials and processes that align with company s circular economy goals.
Project Management:
- Oversee projects related to process improvement, automation integration, and quality initiatives using modern project management tools.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master s degree highly preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years in manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on process optimization and sustainability leadership.
- Proven knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ISO9001 standards.
- Experience with sustainable materials, additive manufacturing, and automation integration.
Skills:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in PLM tools for managing product lifecycle stages.
- Familiarity with automation systems and how they interact with manufacturing processes.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills for interdepartmental collaboration, especially with automation and design teams.
Additional or Desired Skills:
- Experience with automation technologies, including robotics, to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Awareness of supply chain impacts from manufacturing changes.
- Creative approach to process innovation with a track record of implementation.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices within manufacturing.
