We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join us in the pivotal role of State and Local Sales and Business Development Manager, focusing on IT solutions and services.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential IT services proposals, contracts, and IDIQ opportunities within the state and local government sectors that align with CITI's business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officers, and other relevant stakeholders in government agencies to understand their needs and position our services effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to pursue new business opportunities, including responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), crafting proposals, and presenting our solutions to government agencies.
  • Exhibit strong sales and negotiation skills to effectively communicate the value proposition of IT solutions, win new business, and exceed assigned bookings and revenue targets.

 

Requirements:

 

Must have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, focusing on state and local government agencies.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local government procurement processes, regulations, and contracting vehicles.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with government agencies, including procurement officers and key decision-makers.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of IT solutions and services and win new business.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.

 

Good to have:

  • At least five (2) years of experience overseeing and coordinating the successful execution of IT-related projects delivered on time and budget within the state and local government sectors.
