Responsibilities:
  • Measurement System Development: Plan, design and implement sophisticated measurement systems for new products and enhance existing systems through manufacturing scale-up and production.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced metrology tools including CAD, contact/non-contact measurement systems, and CT scanning to deliver precise measurement solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and external vendors to ensure measurement systems meet product and process requirements.

  • Process Development: Create and implement metrology processes for pilot production and scale-up programs, including documentation and training.
  • Project Leadership: Lead technical projects as assigned across R&D, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments through professional meetings, literature review, and consultations.
  • Install new metrology equipment and fixtures to support new product development, existing molding/manufacturing process changes, replication or scale-up. Responsible for documentation and training.
  • Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations, quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
