Description:
As a vital member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with source data application teams and product owners to conceptualize, develop, and maintain cutting-edge analytics and data governance solutions aimed at empowering informed decision-making. Key responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing and maintaining one or more Data Governance platforms, encompassing Marketplace, Stewardship, Catalog, Quality, and Literacy.
  • Supporting the assessment, procurement, implementation, and enhancement of new software for Data Quality, Observability, and Data Access Management.
  • Seamlessly integrating our Data Governance and Data Platform products to ensure cohesive functionality.
  • Contributing to Data Governance Frameworks and Automation initiatives.
  • Engaging proactively with source data application teams and product owners to design and implement data governance solutions that drive actionable insights.
  • Executing various stages of the development lifecycle, encompassing design, cloud engineering, data modeling, testing, CI/CD pipelines, performance optimization, deployments, BI integration, alerting, and production support.
  • Providing technical leadership within a collaborative team environment while also demonstrating autonomy.
  • Playing an integral role in a DevOps team responsible for end-to-end ownership and support of our Data Governance product.
  • Spearheading the establishment of coding standards, best practices, and guidelines related to privacy, security, and governance.
  • Mentoring team members to foster their technical and domain expertise, thereby cultivating multifaceted teams.

Requirements for Success:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in software solution development within an agile, DevOps environment, encompassing the design, development, and implementation of large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
  • Proficiency in data analytics using SQL with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • 2 years of experience in cloud development and data lake environments, preferably within Microsoft Azure, covering a range of Azure technologies such as Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Power BI.
  • Demonstrated expertise in a combination of development, administration, and support across various tools/platforms, including scripting languages (Python, Spark, Unix, SQL), data platforms (Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake), Azure Cloud Technologies, CI/CD tools, BI Analytics Tool Stack, Data Warehousing, and Data Governance and Privacy tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in software solution development within agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Extensive background in data analytics using SQL with 5+ years of experience.
  • 3+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably within the Azure ecosystem.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud development and data lake environments, particularly within Microsoft Azure, covering a broad spectrum of Azure services.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Data Governance and Data Platform products.
  • Prior experience in the airline industry would be advantageous.
  • Relevant skills, licenses, and certifications, including expertise with the Azure Technology stack, Azure Development Track Certification (preferred), and practical proficiency in Azure Native cloud services.
