Summary: Responsible for performing professional level duties related to the administration of network and technology infrastructure for Citizens Bank Minnesota systems to include configuration and installation of new equipment and monitoring for optimal performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and support network security measures, including firewalls, switches, routers, VPN's, MDR platform, updates, Antivirus protection and server/PC management.
  2. Perform data, server and software backups for disaster recovery purposes.
  3. Install, configure and maintain network hardware and software. This includes administration of all Microsoft Office365 products, MS Teams, SharePoint and Outlook/Exchange.
  4. Administer and maintain Windows, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file/print services, and other Windows services.
  5. Monitor and maintain virtual environments, ensuring optimal performance and resource allocation.
  6. Perform necessary network and system upgrades; tests hardware and software to ensure optimal functionality.
  7. Assist with management and coordination of IT projects through design, procurement, and implementation phases; research and select appropriate hardware and software for operational needs.
  8. Collaborate with other IT team members to support the overall IT infrastructure, including cloud services and hybrid environments.
  9. Monitor, update, configure and deploy antivirus and endpoint security software to keep data and communications protected.
  10. Serve as an escalation point for helpdesk support, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex technical issues.
  11. Scan for vulnerabilities and deploy corrective recommendations or patches based on findings.
  12. Maintain and update all network, server, and systems documentation and diagrams.
  13. Stay up to date with the latest network, server and cloud technologies and best security practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience in network and systems administration.
  • Familiarity with networking hardware such as Network Interface Card (NIC), virtual and physical servers, Network attached Storage (NAS), storage area network (SAN) firewalls, switches and routers.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMWare or Hyper-V
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of backup jobs.
  • Proficiency with server and PC hardware and software.
  • The ability to read and interpret documentation such as operating and procedure manuals, maintenance or installation instructions.
  • Setting priorities, coordinating multiple activities and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Working knowledge of Windows servers and Active Directory administration.
  • Administer network hardware, software, firewalls, switches, routers and updates.
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices including virus protection, data encryption, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Windows related products.
