Our direct client a global American hospitality chain is seeking to hire for the role of a Front-End Developer.

Job Title: Front-End Developer (React, NextJS)
Location: Chicago, IL 60606 (Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Duration: 6 months (possible long term) | 40% Remote
Pay rate: $60/HR W2 (negotiable)

Candidate will primarily be working on our React-based applications using the NextJS Framework.

This is an on-site position at the corporate. Candidate would be expected to come into the office with the team on average 3 days per week, usually Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Position responsibilities:
  • Responsible for building client-side web application development.
  • Translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.
  • Use markup languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create user-friendly cross-browser / cross-platform web applications.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed.
  • Design and implement responsive features.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability and meet product stakeholder requirements.
  • Create quality mock-ups and prototypes as needed. Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.

Experience And Qualifications:
  • 1+ years experience.
  • Have work experience as a Front-end developer
  • Hands on experience with JavaScript, CSS and jQuery or other JS frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cross-browser, cross-platform testing and debugging
  • Knowledge of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
  • Knowledge of layout aesthetics
  • Quick to learn and an ability to work independently with a little mentoring and guidance in a fast-paced environment
  • Have sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes that balance technical and business goals
  • Good problem solving skills and an aptitude for helping other members of the team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
