Job Details

TEKsystems is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide hands-on assistance across a variety of hardware and software platforms for one of our clients based out of Jeffersonville, OH. This is an onsite role offering the chance to make a real impact by keeping our IT infrastructure running smoothly and our users empowered.
Core Responsibilities
Device & End-User Support
  • Deliver comprehensive technical assistance for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and resolve user concerns efficiently
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems for optimal performance

Hardware Maintenance & Deployment
  • Set up and deploy new computers and IT equipment
  • Conduct repairs, upgrades, and coordinate replacements with procurement teams
  • Ensure equipment is properly installed and operational

Software Support
  • Assist users in software installation, configuration, and updates
  • Diagnose and fix software errors, compatibility problems, and crashes
  • Offer guidance on effective software usage and best practices

Issue Tracking & Escalation
  • Document all support activities in the ticketing system accurately
  • Escalate complex technical issues to team members when needed
  • Follow up with users to confirm successful resolution and gather feedback

Asset Management
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory records
  • Monitor allocation, movement, and retirement of IT assets

Working Conditions
  • This position requires 100% onsite presence

Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • High school diploma (technical certifications or IT-related degree a plus)
  • Proven track record in deskside support and troubleshooting
  • Expertise with Windows 10 and 11 environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and general productivity tools
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • A customer-first mindset and ability to explain tech in simple terms
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
