Job Summary
We're looking for a hands-on AI/HR System Technical Project Manager to shape the future of employee experience at Airbnb. You ll build smart, scalable solutions using AI/ML to solve real HR challenges, craft rapid prototypes, and drive innovative products from concept to reality.
This is a builder role you'll dive deep into system architecture, quickly spin up experiments, and tell a clear story that connects complex tech to everyday employee needs.
What You ll Do
- Translate employee and manager workflows into clear HR product opportunities.
- Build and test prototypes (agent flows, lightweight apps, embedded LLM tools) on your own or with minimal engineering support.
- Define requirements for integrations across systems like Workday, Greenhouse, Qualtrics, Airtable, Asana, etc.
- Lead discovery sessions to identify where automation or AI can improve HR processes.
- Evaluate build vs. buy for third-party AI tools.
- Pilot solutions in areas like decision support, communication, knowledge management, or resource planning.
- Set success metrics, track impact, and build product feedback loops.
- Turn complex AI solutions into simple, compelling narratives for internal stakeholders.
- Partner with BizTech, Legal, and InfoSec to ensure privacy, security, and ethics standards are met.
- Help evolve Airbnb s Employee Experience (EX) AI strategy as needs and tech advance.
What You Bring
- 8+ years in product management, with direct experience building or engineering AI/ML-powered tools or platforms.
- Proven ability to scope, build, and launch rapid prototypes using LLMs, automation systems, or web tools.
- Strong background in HR systems or org strategy (performance, recruiting, planning, or people analytics).
- Skilled at translating complex, cross-functional needs into shipped products.
- Data-driven approach to both design and impact measurement.
- Scrappy and technically savvy can write scripts, chain prompts, or build low-code solutions to test ideas.
- Hands-on with LangChain, LLMs, or vector databases (or ready to learn fast).
- Comfortable across knowledge management, portfolio planning, and HR/People tech stacks.
- Experienced supporting internal teams (like EX and BizTech).
- Collaborative and systems-oriented, connecting dots across people, process, and tech.
- Strong visual storytelling skills (Miro, Figma, slides) and effective communicator.
