Description of Services:

We are seeking a Web Administrator II to manage and assist in the migration of multiple related sites of their flagship website, which encompasses over 3,000 pages. This role will serve as a liaison between the Communications Division and the IT Web Services team, ensuring a smooth transition of web content and functionality. The Web Administrator will work with the Drupal CMS, adhere to web and accessibility standards, and execute complex web designs.

Note: State Agencies experience is preferred

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

(7 Years Required Experience in Each):

• Web administration and web design with significant experience managing large-scale websites.
• Proven experience with Drupal content management system (CMS), including content creation, taxonomy, and navigation.
• Strong portfolio of complex web design, demonstrating a solid understanding of UI/UX design principles.
• Ongoing operation, management, and maintenance of website content.
• Experience and understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).
• Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first strategies.
• Ability to translate technical language into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively across different teams, and explain technical issues.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing multiple website migrations, ensuring content is current, functional, accessible, and user-friendly.
• Collaborate with the IT Web Services team to optimize website performance (speed, reliability, scalability).
• Test code, designs, and content for validity and browser/device compatibility.
• Monitor website analytics and performance metrics.
• Serve as the main point of contact between the Communications Division and IT Web Services, translating technical requirements into communication strategies.
• Coordinate with and assist web contributors with new content, updates, and website enhancements.
• Collaborate with content managers to ensure a smooth transition of web content and functionality.
• Monitor and troubleshoot migration issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Maintain and update website content for consistency and accuracy across related sites.
• Implement best practices for website performance, security, and SEO.
• Administer and update website content using Drupal CMS.
• Maintain best practices for content creation, navigation, governance, and quality control.
• Provide support and guidance to content contributors on CMS usage and web content standards/policies.
• Ensure website compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and other accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with IT Web Services to address accessibility issues and implement best practices.
• Provide accessibility assistance and remediation support for various digital formats.
