Internet / Web Engineer(Java Developer)

FedTec is seeking Internet / Web Engineer(Java Developer) who would be responsible for the look and feel of the web application that the user will experience, unit and systems testing, implementation, and maintenance of complex web systems and back-end development. This position requires experience with Java, web application development, web service development, and distributed systems development.

Position : Internet / Web Engineer(Java Developer)

Location: Columbia , SC (100% remote - potential for some travel to Columbia, SC for onsite meetings, up to 25%.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java, Tapestry, and front-end technologies.
• Develop and integrate RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
• Utilize ActiveMQ for message brokering and integration.
• Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and relational database structures.
• Implement security protocols using Spring Security.
• Develop and troubleshoot JDBC-based data access layers.
• Write and maintain Unix shell scripts for automation and deployment.
• Use GIT for source control and manage code branches effectively.
• Develop and execute unit and automated tests using JUnit, HTTPUnit, Selenium, etc.
• Utilize Maven or Gradle for build automation and dependency management.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years Java development experience
• 5+ years web development experience using Tapestry, HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS3 (Sass/Less)
• 5+ years experience with Web Services (REST/JSON, SOAP, WSDL)
• 5+ years experience working with EDI transactions (270/271, 276/277, 837)
• 5+ years experience with ActiveMQ
• 5+ years hands-on experience with SQL, relational databases, and stored procedures
• 5+ years experience using Spring Security
• 5+ years experience with JDBC
• 5+ years working in Unix environments and shell scripting
• 5+ years experience using GIT for version control
• 5+ years working with automated testing tools such as JUnit, HTTPUnit, Selenium
• 3+ years experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
