Our teams are building a new Product Information Management (PIM). PIM is a dedicated system for universally accessible product information and an ecosystem for the efficient flow of product information to support vendors, merchants, operations, and our customers.

In this role you will drive the modernization of how we ingest, rationalize, mature, and federate/egress product data which is used by both our internal/external partners and end customers. The journey ahead will help reduce the lead time to progress items through the various maturity states for ordering, procurement, planning and enabling customer experience in the most seamless and cost-efficient manner.

As an Engineer Senior 2 on the Product Platform team, you will be instrumental in realizing our vision. You will be responsible for the quality of a team's work, ensuring that all designs are clear and complete for successful execution. You will work on developing and optimizing systems that support PIM rollout across various applications and teams (Inventory, Checkout, PdP, Supply Chain, etc). Your role will involve streamlining processes, automating workflows, and standardizing product information capabilities.

A day in the life...
  • Create frameworks to solve complex technical and business problems
  • Responsible for guiding the design and architecture of projects and producing high-quality code.
  • Leads & inspires engineers within the team through design and execution
  • Takes ownership of systems or designs that span multiple people's work, breaking work into smaller tasks for more junior engineers to support.
  • Influences design within and across teams for projects by providing guidance on software design, development & industry best practices
  • Partner with both product management and all levels of leadership to drive vision and roadmaps to completion.
  • Surfaces potential design or delivery conflicts in the current product cycle and recommends best options.
  • Responsible for the team following engineering and security standards and the design review process; contributes to the standards.
  • Expertise with telemetry solutions and products available in the industry

You own this if you have...
  • 7+ years of professional experience in delivering quality software, ideally across the full stack
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in CS, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Proficient with Java, Java Spring Boot Framework, and Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Experience with RESTful architecture and microservices
  • Experience with system design, architecture, scaling and performance testing
  • Experience with cloud technologies like AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with messaging technologies and patterns (Kafka/SQS)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Terraform, Gitlab
  • Test automation experience at all levels (Unit, Integration, Regression, Load)
  • Familiarity with ops tools, logging, and metrics (New Relic, Splunk, Pagerduty)

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $141,000 - $258,000 Annually
