Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Data Center Technician for a role in Mount Pleasant, WI. This role is responsible for maintaining data center infrastructure, performing advanced troubleshooting, deploying and configuring servers and GPUs, and ensuring uninterrupted network services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, server hardware, and data center operations, with 2-4 years of experience in a hyperscale environment.

We are seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Data Center Technician for a role in Mount Pleasant, WI. This role is responsible for maintaining data center infrastructure, performing advanced troubleshooting, deploying and configuring servers and GPUs, and ensuring uninterrupted network services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, server hardware, and data center operations, with 2-4 years of experience in a hyperscale environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations
- Perform Level 1 and Level 2 tasks as needed, including:
- Server and switch relocation, inspection, installation, and cabling.
- Component installation (NICs, drives, memory).
- Firmware updates and IP configuration.
- Break-fix tasks and part replacements.
- GPU deployment and troubleshooting.
- Audit servers and consumables.
- Assist network administrators with server and switch issues.
- Rack and stack servers/switches for remote configuration.
- Ensure compliance with cabling and installation standards.
Project & Team Leadership
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and ticket resolution.
- Act as liaison between team members and management.
- Manage and prioritize team workload.
- Review and validate build documentation.
- Direct build activities and ensure alignment with data center standards.
- Monitor project deadlines and provide updates to project managers.
- Lead multiple simultaneous projects in a high-pressure environment.
- Promote safety and compliance with data center protocols.
- Offer thought leadership to support program growth.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a data center environment.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and server components.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, climb ladders, and wear PPE as needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Preferred Certifications & Experience
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Server+, CCENT, CCNA (preferred), MCP/MCSE (preferred), OSHA30 or higher.
- Technical Skills: Windows OS experience.
- Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Structured cabling, rack & stack, fiber/optical testing.
- Storage device knowledge.
- Ticketing systems and ITIL framework familiarity.
- Network fundamentals (OSI Layers 1-3).
- Copper and fiber optic cabling installation and termination.
- GPU deployment and break-fix experience.
