Installation Specialist

Are you a seasoned technician with hands-on experience in Access Control and CCTV systems? We're seeking a Lead-Level Security Systems Technician to join our team on large-scale commercial installation projects across the Denver metro area. This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to grow into a Supervisor position.

Lead Security Systems Technician - Access Control & CCTV

Job Duties:

• Lead installation efforts for Access Control and CCTV systems on commercial job sites.
• Program, troubleshoot, and service systems independently-no supervision required.
• Interface directly with customers to provide technical support and ensure satisfaction.
• Travel locally using your own vehicle for the first 12 months (mileage reimbursement available).
• Provide daily updates to project managers and supervisors.
• Mentor junior technicians and eventually lead an installation crew.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure security systems including:
• Mag locks (single/double)
  • Electrified crash bars and lever sets
  • Card readers, door contacts, REX devices
  • Electric strikes (HES 1006 & 5200 series)
  • IP cameras (interior/exterior, various mounts)
  • Network switches, UPS units, servers, patch panels
• Read and interpret blueprints and cable routing paths.
• Perform panel terminations and layout field panels.
• Integrate ADA and sliding doors, turnstiles, and relay logic.
• Troubleshoot faults including open line, shorted line, and ground faults.
• Ensure compliance with local AHJ code requirements and support final inspections.

Required Skills & Experience

• Expert-level experience in Access Control and CCTV installation.
• Strong programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid understanding of low-voltage electrical theory.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform mechanical/electrical tasks.
• Familiarity with IP camera systems and physical security hardware.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-door and multi-camera projects.
• Familiarity with panel wall layouts and field integration.
• Successful track record with AHJ inspections.
• Ability to core wood doors and install electrified hinges and lever sets.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
