We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent BAS (Building Automation Systems) Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineered specifications, blueprints, and schematics, and will be well-versed in BAS automation, configuration, layout, panel locations, data backups, and data retrieval.

Responsibilities:

As a BAS Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Reading and interpreting engineered specifications, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate implementation of design plans.
• Overseeing BAS automation, configuration, layout, and panel locations for various construction projects.
• Managing data backups and retrieval processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Designing and implementing automation change records (ACRs) and control qualification systems.
• Preparing and maintaining commissioning test documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Utilizing AutoCAD to create and modify design plans as necessary.
• Applying electrical and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
• Collaborating with various teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineered specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Demonstrable experience with BAS automation, configuration, layout, panel locations, data backups, and data retrieval.
• Strong understanding of automation change records (ACRs) and control qualification.
• Experience preparing commissioning test documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD highly desirable.
• Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Completion of an HVAC apprenticeship, vocational program, or a college degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
