TITLE: Director DS & AI Product

LOCATION: Gaithersburg, MD

HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hours/week)

DUTIES: Contribute to the Commercial Data Science & AI team whose mission is to take a patient-centric, data-driven approach to personalize and transform healthcare delivery to the millions of patients along with a multi-disciplinary team of physicians who care for them. Work with cross-functional Science, Medical, and Business leaders to identify, prioritize, and develop DS & AI Products and solutions across Oncology Business Unit (OBU). Prioritize data science workstreams across multiple therapeutic areas and ensure delivery of data science products to meet business needs across an expanding oncology portfolio. Support the regular assessment of data sources and other external vendors that can offer innovative solutions to elevate delivery of data science products to the business.

REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the job offered, as a Data Scientist, or in a related occupation. Must possess five (5) years of experience with all of the following: Leading product roadmap development, strategy planning, requirement gathering, and product launches for commercial and medical applications; Utilizing SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, R, Python, SAS for manipulating and analyzing large datasets, developing interactive dashboards, and presenting insights; Applying advanced data science techniques, such as ML modeling and other technologies; Evaluating data sources and external vendors for the delivery of data science products; Using Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn for data manipulation, feature engineering, and building predictive models; Leading large-scale end-to-end data science projects, including project planning, resource allocation, and delivering measurable business outcomes; Working with secondary patient level data sources, including claims, electronics medical records (EMR) and group purchasing organization (GPO) data, lab testing data for biomarker testing. 20% travel required to various and unanticipated domestic and international locations.
