About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong foundation in building scalable systems using Python and/or Node.js. You'll play a critical role in developing and scaling our next-generation developer tooling platform that deeply integrates with large language models (LLMs). If you're passionate about backend architecture, observability, and building intelligent SaaS products, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do
Design, develop, and scale backend systems for our LLM-powered SaaS developer tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, ML, and frontend to define APIs and system behavior
Lead the integration of LLMs into production systems to deliver intelligent features and experiences
Optimize and scale services to support high-throughput traffic and low-latency interactions
Implement effective instrumentation and observability to support debugging and performance tuning
Own data flows across services and external data stores such as Postgres and Redis
Champion best practices in async programming, API design (FastAPI), and software engineering
What We're Looking For
< data-start="1459" data-end="1493">Required Qualifications</>
4-7 years of experience building and scaling backend systems using Python (Node.js a plus)
Strong background in developer tools or developer-facing SaaS products
Experience building or integrating with products that leverage LLMs (e.g., via OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models)
Proven ability to work with and optimize data interactions across Postgres and Redis
Comfortable working with FastAPI and modern async programming paradigms
Deep expertise in debugging and system-level observability (e.g., logs, traces, metrics)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Nice to Have
Experience with service orchestration, message queues, or event-driven architecture
Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for deployment
Exposure to vector databases and RAG architectures
